The Requirements
PT Hutchison Port Indonesia requires a Pre-Feasibility Study to be conducted to establish a suitable layout for a new port facility located at Cilamaya. The final layout will be determined as part of optimizing the operational requirements of the terminal during the design development stage of this study, but will be commensurate with normal arrangement and sizes for international standard container terminals.
What We Delivered
BMT conducted this project by establishing the general layout of the new port based on the operational layout provided. In addition, BMT sources and reviews all government infrastructure and environmental programmes which may impact the new port such as toll road construction, power plant construction, land zoning, etc. We review all available data such as Meteorology and Climatology, Bathymetry, Geological Data, and all corresponding data required.
Furthermore, our experts assess any potential for collateral impact during construction and operation on other stakeholders and identify possible environmental issues which may impact the new port location. We carry out the outline design of access roads and associated structures based on the available topographic and geotechnical information provided by the client. We estimate the total power consumption of the new terminal and make recommendations for power supply. At the end of the project, we provide our best recommendations for the further study which will be required before and during the detailed design stage.
